RWE has announced the winners of its global "Co-use Competition". The competition sought innovative solutions for biodiversity enhancement and co-existence with other sea users. A panel of RWE experts evaluated 77 applications from 17 countries, selecting two winners based on the potential value of their technologies for RWE’s offshore wind portfolio.
Delaware approves permits for US Wind offshore project

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) has approved multiple permit applications and authorisation requests from wind energy developer US Wind. This approval allows the Delaware components of its proposed Maryland offshore wind project to move forward. The project includes approximately 15 miles of export cables under Delaware's subaqueous jurisdiction.

Vestas’ facilities on the Isle of Wight currently focus on manufacturing blades for the V174 offshore turbine. As demand for this product declines and site constraints make it unsuitable for the next generation of offshore blades, Vestas has reached an agreement in principle with the UK Government to repurpose the factory for producing onshore blades, primarily for the UK market.
