RWE has appointed Dr Tobias Keitel as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) on the management board of RWE Offshore Wind, effective from 15 September 2025. He will be responsible for engineering, procurement and construction of offshore wind farms globally, along with health, safety and environmental matters.
Thomas Michel, currently Chief Operating Officer (COO), will now concentrate solely on operations, overseeing RWE’s offshore wind fleet of 19 wind farms. The management board also includes Chief Executive Officer Sven Utermöhlen, Chief Financial Officer Gunhild Grieve and Chief Commercial Officer Ulf Kerstin. Keitel began his career at consultancy BCG and went on to hold several industry roles, most recently serving as President and Chief Executive Officer at Voith Hydro.
