On the basis of preliminary figures, the Nordex Group's sales increased by 32 per cent to € 493 million in the first three quarters of 2007 (previous year: € 373 million), underpinned in particular by strong export demand.
As of the balance sheet date, new business was up 60 per cent, rising to € 823 million (previous year: € 515 million). Firm and conditional orders climbed in value by 148 per cent to around € 1.9 billion (previous year: € 763 million). Further projects of € 600 million were signed. This order book is sufficient to ensure full capacity utilisation until into the second half of 2009. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) rose by 93 per cent to € 23.3 million (previous year: € 12.1 million). Accordingly, the return on sales widened from 3.2 per cent to 4.7 per cent. For the year as a whole, Nordex considers the revenue target of € 760 - 770 million and a return on sales of 6 per cent as achievable.
