Marine and offshore engineering consultancy Aqualis Offshore has opened an office in Taiwan to support local offshore wind and oil and gas developments. The purpose of the office is to promote Aqualis Offshore’s marine and engineering services locally, and to support the development of sister company Offshore Wind Consultants’ (OWC) offshore wind energy projects in Taiwan.

Gurit has reported unaudited results for the first quarter of 2017 and net sales for the first three months of 2017 developed in line with expectations. Gurit Composite Materials achieved net sales of CHF 67.4 million for the first quarter of 2017. This represents an increase of 1.6% compared to net sales of CHF 66.4 million for the first three months of 2016.

CWind has officially named their new vessel, the CWind Phantom. CWind Phantom is a 27 metres aluminium catamaran Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV). The CWind Phantom can carry up to 12 passengers, with berths for eight people overnight.
