Ingeteam has received DNV GL’s “Shop Approval in Renewable Energy” certification for its wind converter manufacturing facility in Northern Spain. This certification will reduce and simplify the manufacturing audits or possibly even exempt Ingeteam and its present or future customers from any manufacturing audit for the next three years.

LM Wind Power has announced that work on its new factory in Cherbourg, Normandy, France has commenced. The company brings an initial investment of more than € 100 million into the development of the Cherbourg site which is expected to grow to a capacity between 1.2 and 2.0GW.

The European Commission has approved unconditionally under the EU Merger Regulation the acquisition of LM Wind Power by General Electric. The Commission concluded that the merged entity would continue to face effective competition in Europe. General Electric has a relatively small market share in both onshore and offshore wind turbines.
