SPT Offshore has completed the preliminary design of a three-legged jacket, including the suction pile foundation, for an offshore wind farm project at the east coast of Scotland.
The wind farm is located 30 – 55 kilometres offshore and the water depth across the site varies between 30 metres and 60 metres. The seabed consists of strong clays over bedrock. The preliminary design of the WTG foundation comprises:
- Concept design followed by preliminary design of the Suction Pile Jacket (SPJ)
- Preliminary design of suction pile foundations (geotechnical and structural)
- Preliminary design drawings
