Natural Power has acted as lender’s technical adviser to OX2 in securing project financing for the 189MW Fageråsen wind farm in Malung-Sälen, Sweden. OX2 obtained long-term project financing from DNB Carnegie and UniCredit.
The 27-turbine project is already under construction and is scheduled to begin operations in the first half of 2028. Plans also include a 200 MWh battery energy storage system.
Natural Power’s scope of work covered a detailed review and validation across key technical areas to support financing decisions. This included full technical due diligence of principal contracts, design and equipment specifications, as well as assessments of grid connection and permitting.
The consultancy also carried out energy yield analysis and performance forecasting, stakeholder and commercial risk reviews, and liaised on financial model assumptions to align them with expected project performance.
