Consent has been granted for the Mona Offshore Wind Farm. Located in the Irish Sea, Mona is the first project from the UK’s Round 4 leasing round to receive consent.
The wind farm is being developed by joint venture partners bp and EnBW and is expected to become operational by the end of the decade. Before construction can begin, the project still requires a Marine Licence from Natural Resources Wales (NRW) . The developers will continue to work with NRW to support a timely decision.
