Fred. Olsen Windcarrier has been awarded the transport and installation contract for 56 Vestas 8MW turbines at the 450MW Borkum Riffgrund 2 wind farm by Dong Energy.
Borkum Riffgrund is located 57km from shore in the German Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) and installation is set to commence in the second quarter of 2018.
