Enersense has secured a contract from Fingrid to construct the Herva 400/110 kilovolt transformer substation in the municipality of Ii, northern Finland. The substation will enable the connection of planned wind farms in the region to the national grid and strengthen the reliability of the local electricity network.
The area has experienced considerable wind power development in recent years. The Herva substation will support increased transmission capacity, particularly for transferring electricity from north to south. In addition to the substation, Enersense is building the Herva–Nuojuankangas power line, which will be connected to the new infrastructure. The project will employ Enersense until the end of 2027. The contract, worth approximately €15 million, will be included in Enersense’s Power segment order book for the second quarter of 2025.
