Acteon, through its Marine Foundations business line Menck, has been awarded a contract by Ørsted to provide pile‑driving equipment and operational services for the Hornsea 3 offshore wind farm. The project is located in the United Kingdom sector of the North Sea, about 160 kilometres off the Yorkshire coast and 120 kilometres from Norfolk.

For the work, Acteon will supply a Menck MHU4400S hydraulic hammer together with a pile sleeve and anvil designed for monopiles up to 11 metres in diameter. The MHU4400S is a submersible hammer built to drive both large monopiles and smaller diameter piles.
