Marco Polo Marine’s offshore wind division, PKR Offshore Co., Ltd. (PKRO), has signed a framework agreement with Siemens Gamesa for the deployment and charter of two commissioning service operation vessels (CSOVs). Under the agreement, PKRO will provide two new CSOVs to support Siemens Gamesa’s offshore wind projects in Taiwan on a non-exclusive basis.
The companies will also explore opportunities to deploy PKRO’s CSOV fleet for Siemens Gamesa projects in South Korea and Japan. The vessels will be equipped with Siemens Energy’s BlueDrive PlusC hybrid propulsion system.
PKRO currently operates one CSOV, MP Wind Archer, which entered its first charter contract in Taiwan in April 2025. The company’s second vessel, CSOV Plus, is under construction at Marco Polo Marine’s shipyard in Batam, Indonesia, with delivery scheduled for the second quarter of 2028. A third CSOV is currently still in planning phase.
