Envision Energy has announced that its EN-272 / 16.7 MW offshore wind turbine has been awarded a provisional Type Certificate by DNV. The certification was issued under the internationally recognised IECRE renewable energy certification system and covers the full product lifecycle, including design assessment, material verification, manufacturing audits and testing under extreme environmental conditions.
At the same time, the EN-252 / 12 MW turbine has received a Type Certificate, while the EN-252 rotor blade has been awarded a Component Certificate. Both certifications were granted in accordance with the IEC 61400-22 standard.
