Envision Energy connects AI wind turbine in Fortescue project in AustraliaEnvision Energy has connected its first AI-enabled wind turbine prototype to the grid as part of Fortescue’s Nullagine Wind Project in the Pilbara region of Australia. The project includes 17 Envision EN182-7.8 MW wind turbines designed for mining and desert conditions, local wind characteristics and grid requirements.

The turbines use Nabrawind’s self-erecting tower technology with a hub height of 188 metres. The turbines incorporate Envision Energy’s Dubhe Energy Foundation Model, a physical AI system developed to support turbine operation and system optimisation. In combination with the Tianji Weather Foundation Model, the system processes energy and weather data to support the coordination of generation, storage, grids and demand.
