The Nordex Group has signed a joint venture contract for the local production of megawatt-class wind turbines in China. The company’s partners are the regional utility Ningxia Electric Power Group (40%) and the Ningxia Tianjing Electric Energy Development Group (10%), which operates power stations and is engaged in the construction sector.

Gamesa Corporación Tecnológica achieved consolidated turnover of € 1.38 billion in the third quarter of 2005, 32% more than the € 1.039 billion of the equivalent period in 2004. This increase is due mainly to increased sales of wind parks and wind turbines by Gamesa Energía and Gamesa Eólica respectively.
