The World Wind Energy Association and the Chinese Wind Energy Association have released the full programme for the 22nd World Wind Energy Conference, to be held in Shantou, China, from 3 to 5 December 2025. More than 100 speakers are expected to discuss international wind power developments.
The programme includes sessions on key aspects of wind power use. The High-level Segment will feature contributions from senior figures on current trends and future prospects. The Shantou Dialogue will focus on improving collaboration and strengthening the global wind power supply chain. Several international initiatives linked to industrial hubs, education and long-term industry dialogue will also be introduced.
WWEA will present its Community Engagement Guidelines on 5 December, intended to support wider social acceptance of wind power.
Additional sessions include the Global Wind Power Markets Forum, technical fora, a workshop on international cooperation to document the history of the global wind energy sector, and the Belt and Road Initiative Wind Power Cooperation Forum.
During the event, WWEA will announce the winners of the World Wind Energy Award 2025, and selected presentations will also be recognised.
