InterBolt has expanded its manufacturing operations in the UK with the opening of a new facility in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, to support growing demand for its load monitoring systems.
The new 10,000 sq ft site is five times larger than the company's previous premises and has been equipped with two new computer numerical control (CNC) machines, including a latest-generation machining centre from DN Solutions.
The investment enables multiple-piece workflow and continuous production operations. InterBolt has also recruited two senior calibration engineers to support its manufacturing activities.
The InterBolt system uses a miniature load sensor embedded within a bolt or stud to provide real-time measurements of bolt loads. The technology is designed to support bolt tightening during installation and enable remote monitoring of bolt loads during operation, reducing the need for manual inspection.
