Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) has completed the acquisition of Ørsted’s European onshore business through its fifth flagship fund, CI V. Previously part of Ørsted, the business will operate under a new name, Perigus Energy.
Perigus Energy develops, builds and operates onshore wind, solar and battery storage projects across Ireland, Germany, the United Kingdom and Spain. The portfolio comprises 826 MW of operational and under-construction capacity, supported by a mix of government-backed support schemes and corporate power purchase agreements. All existing contracts, partners and counterparties remain unchanged following the transaction.
