ZX Lidars and Globeleq South Africa Management Services have deployed a ZX TM wind Lidar at the Klipheuwel Wind Farm in South Africa. The installation is intended to provide detailed analysis of complex wind conditions that impact turbine performance and maintenance.
The ZX TM wind Lidar will monitor incoming wind flow patterns to identify factors contributing to component wear. It will also be used for power curve verification and yaw misalignment checks, supporting improved operational efficiency and extending asset lifespan.
