Tele-Fonika Kable (TFKable) has been chosen to supply onshore cables and accessories for the offshore wind farm projects Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3. The contract has been awarded directly by the special purpose vehicle of Equinor and Polenergia.
TFKable's facility in Bydgoszcz, Poland, located approximately 250 km from the construction site of the Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 wind farms, will be responsible for the design, production, and supply of 85 km of onshore high-voltage (HV) export cables (220 kV), which will connect the offshore substation to the onshore substation, as well as 38 km of onshore extra-high-voltage (EHV) cables (400 kV), which will connect the onshore substation to the PSE power station. The scope of work also includes the supply and installation of accessories.
The Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 offshore wind farms, jointly developed by Equinor and Polenergia, will have a combined capacity of 1440 MW. The first energy from both projects is expected to flow into the grid in 2027, with full commercial operation planned from 2028.
