Ørsted has completed the sale of a 24.5% stake in the West of Duddon Sands Offshore Wind Farm to funds managed by Schroders Greencoat. The wind farm, located around 14 kilometres off the west coast of the United Kingdom, has been operational since 2014 and has a total capacity of 389 MW.
This latest transaction follows previous collaboration between Ørsted and Schroders Greencoat, which is already a co-investor in four Ørsted offshore wind farms: Walney, Burbo Bank Extension, Hornsea 1, and Borkum Riffgrund 1. Ørsted will retain a 25.5% pro-rata consolidated interest in West of Duddon Sands and will continue as operator under the existing operations and maintenance agreement. The transaction, valued at GBP 456.1 million (approximately DKK 4 billion) on a debt-free basis, closed on 30 April 2025.
