Hitachi Energy and Ørsted have announced a strategic partnership aimed at reducing lead times and lowering the levelised cost of energy for large-scale offshore wind projects. The agreement covers the delivery of integrated onshore and offshore electrical systems, with a focus on standardisation, modularisation, efficient tendering and long-term service to support reliable operation across the full asset lifecycle.
The collaboration is intended to streamline planning and execution of offshore wind electrical infrastructure while improving cost efficiency ahead of final investment decisions.
The partners aim to develop a scalable and repeatable model for offshore wind project delivery, supporting more consistent execution across different markets and over time.
