Nordex has secured new orders in Germany totalling approximately 255 MW during the first two months of the second quarter. The contracts cover 14 wind energy projects and a total of 39 turbines. The orders include 19 N163/6.X turbines, 11 N175/6.X turbines and nine N149 turbines. All contracts include long-term service and maintenance agreements.
Among the projects is the 35 MW Rheine-Catenhorn community wind farm in North Rhine-Westphalia. Nordex will supply and install five N163/6.X turbines with a hub height of 164 metres for the project. The order was awarded in cooperation with project developer BBWind.
The Rheine-Catenhorn development will be implemented as a community wind project. Nordex did not disclose the names of the remaining customers or project locations.
Construction and commissioning of all 14 wind projects are scheduled to take place between summer 2027 and spring 2028.
