Enova has approved Semar's pre-project application for its Honeymooring concept under the Havvind 2035 programme. The proposed pilot will focus on developing, optimising and certifying the Honeymooring system for floating wind turbines, with testing planned at the Marine Energy Test Centre (METCentre) near Haugesund.
The project has been granted public funding of up to NOK 1.75 million. The funding will support assessments of technological maturity, cost structure, and development potential, and help identify technical, economic and regulatory barriers. The aim is to evaluate the feasibility of a full-scale pilot, reduce associated risks, and prepare the ground for a future application to the Havvind 2035 pilot scheme.
