seebaWIND Service GmbH has replaced a gearbox using a tried and tested special construction in only three days. The company replaced the gearbox of a Senvion MM92 wind turbine for the first time at the Waldhausen wind farm near Würzburg.
It was the first gearbox change on this turbine type. The service staff of seebaWIND Service used a special bridge construction which fixed the main shaft on the engine pod and stabilised the main rotor. They were then able to fit the new gearbox without having to remove the rotor.
