Enerpac has introduced a Self-Propelled Electric Transporter (SPET) for moving turbine blades and heavy turbine sections within production sites, storage facilities, and on quaysides. Developed by Enerpac’s DTA Smart Transporter team in Madrid, the SPET has a load capacity of up to 80 tons and is operated wirelessly.
It can transport individual turbine sections or blades up to 120 metres long within a facility. In tandem mode, two SPETs can move a turbine blade container weighing up to 160 tonnes, including the blade. Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, the SPET features fully electric propulsion and multiple steering modes for flexible operation.
