RES has adapted its Smart Pilot turbine blade inspection technology for smaller drones. These drones cost less than larger models and can deliver comparable image quality in good conditions, offering wind farm owners a lower-cost option for inspecting their turbines.
Smart Pilot automates blade inspections during a single turbine stop. Released in September, Smart Pilot 3 can inspect all three blades without stopping the turbine.
