Google and O2, a Nordic wind farm developer and operator, have announced that Google will buy the entire electricity output of a new wind farm, to be built at Maevaara, in Övertorneå and Pajala municipality in northen Sweden, for the next ten years.

In continuance of the company announcement of 19 February 2013 regarding PGE’s and Energa’s acquisition of DONG Energy’s Polish onshore wind business, DONG Energy has announced that competition clearance from the Polish Anti-Monopoly Office has been obtained. On this basis, the transaction is expected to be closed during the coming weeks.

LM Wind Power has announced they will join a research project to develop ‘intelligent’ blades based on wireless sensor technology. The sensors in the blades will be able to predict weather conditions and calculate when they can harvest the most energy from the wind while ensuring minimum loads on the wind turbine.
