The Victorian government has postponed the planned auction for offshore wind developers in Gippsland, Australia. Originally expected this month, the process will now be delayed until at least the end of the year.

The federal government has already granted feasibility licences to 11 offshore wind projects in waters off the Gippsland coast. Victoria has set a target of generating at least 2 GW of electricity from offshore wind by 2032.
