The German Bundesnetzagentur has published the award results of the onshore wind auction held on 1 November 2025. A total volume of 3,450 MW was offered in the auction. In total, 905 bids with a combined capacity of 8,155 MW were submitted. As a result, 415 bids with an awarded capacity of 3,456 MW were successful. A further 37 bids were excluded from the procedure.
The awarded prices determined under the pay-as-bid mechanism range from 5.80 to 6.12 cents per kilowatt-hour. The average capacity-weighted award price fell further compared with the previous round, which recorded 6.57 cents per kilowatt-hour, and reached 6.06 cents per kilowatt-hour. This level remains well below the maximum permissible value of 7.35 cents per kilowatt-hour.
Most awards were granted to projects located in North Rhine-Westphalia, with 148 awards totalling 1,093 MW. This was followed by Lower Saxony, which secured 133 awards amounting to 1,091 MW. The third-largest awarded volume was recorded in Brandenburg, with 34 awards and a total capacity of 262 MW.
