The American Clean Power Association (ACP) has appointed Artealia Gilliard as its new Chief Communications Officer. Gilliard brings more than 20 years of experience in strategic communications, public policy, and leadership in the energy sector. She will lead ACP’s communications strategy at a time when the sector is focused on expanding energy production and supporting domestic manufacturing.
Gilliard has worked across public, private, and non-profit organisations. Most recently, she led environmental and sustainability communications and advocacy at Ford Motor Company. Her previous positions include Director of Communications at Columbia University’s Center on Global Energy Policy and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Transportation Policy at the US Department of Transportation, where she was involved in energy-related initiatives.
