Vestas has appointed Johan Helberg as Managing Director for its Southern and Eastern Africa operations. Helberg brings more than 30 years of experience across the energy and industrial sectors. He has held senior roles at Siemens, ABB and Aggreko, working across Africa, the Middle East and Asia, with a focus on power generation and infrastructure.
In his new role, he will focus on strengthening Vestas’ position in South Africa and the wider Southern and Eastern Africa region. His priorities include supporting wind energy deployment, strengthening customer and stakeholder relationships, ensuring project delivery and service performance, and contributing to the development of a regional supply chain.
