Spie Global Services Energy has appointed François Nicot as Director of its Sub-Saharan Africa Business Unit, effective 1 December 2025. He reports to Christophe Bernhart, Managing Director of Spie Global Services Energy, and joins the subsidiary’s Executive Committee.
A graduate of the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Strasbourg, Nicot has more than 30 years of experience managing international projects in the energy and construction sectors. He began his career in 1989 with the Saipem Group (formerly Bouygues Offshore), holding operational management roles in France and abroad for over 15 years. He later held positions at Friedlander Ortec and the SNEF Group, followed by a project director role at SPAC, and from 2005 served as project director at Bouygues Construction.
The Sub-Saharan Africa region has recently seen growth in renewable energy, expansion into fast-growing markets, and the development of operations and maintenance models in the oil and gas sector.
