Ørsted and T&T Group have signed a five year agreement with the Ministry of Planning and Investment’s (MPI) National Innovation Center (NIC) to enhance technical capacity and build technological expertise in Vietnam’s emerging offshore wind sector.This agreement will bring together offshore wind researchers and technology providers with Vietnamese universities, research institutions and industrial players to deliver custom made solutions for Vietnam’s offshore wind industry. The goal of this initiative is to launch an Offshore Wind R&D and training center under NIC. This will act as a focal point for human resource development, technology transfer, supply chain development and research to make offshore wind a success in Vietnam.
