Nordex recorded an order intake of 2,310 MW in the Projects segment in the second quarter of 2025, an increase of 81.7 percent compared to 1,271 MW in the same period last year.
The value of new orders amounted to EUR 2.2 billion and came from nine countries with different turbine types. Average pricing was stable at EUR 0.97 million per MW, slightly up from EUR 0.96 million per MW in 2024 due to regional and scope mix.
Total sales for the period were around EUR 1.9 billion, broadly unchanged from the same quarter in 2024. Gross revenue, including changes in inventories, increased by 3.1 percent to EUR 1.9 billion. From the third month of the quarter onwards, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation rose sharply by 64.3 percent to EUR 108.2 million, with the margin improving to 5.8 percent from 3.5 percent.
At the end of June 2025, the company’s order book stood at EUR 14.3 billion, up from EUR 11.0 billion in June 2024. Of this, EUR 8.9 billion was in the Projects segment and EUR 5.5 billion in the Service segment.
Turbine production totalled 1,586 MW, down 14.4 percent year on year due to project scheduling. Rotor blade production increased by 8.1 percent to 1,399 units, with 466 produced internally and 933 sourced from external suppliers.
During the quarter, Nordex installed 337 wind turbines in 16 countries with a combined capacity of 1,959 MW. This compares with 365 turbines and 1,869 MW in 19 countries a year earlier. Europe accounted for 87 percent of new capacity, Latin America for 10 percent and other regions for 2 percent.
Sales in the Projects segment were about EUR 1.7 billion, unchanged from 2024, while Service segment sales rose by 16.9 percent to EUR 206.9 million.
