Iberdrola has completed the sale of its business in Hungary following regulatory approvals. The company sold 100% of the shares of Iberdrola Renovables Magyarország to a consortium formed by Premier Energy and a subsidiary of iG TECH Capital.
The transaction includes 158 MW of operational wind capacity developed by Iberdrola since 2008. Of this capacity, 124 MW is already operating in the free market after completing the 15-year tariff period, while the remaining 34 MW is expected to transition within a year. The total value of the transaction is €171 million, including the share purchase price and a dividend distributed before closing.
