Iberdrola has completed the sale of its business in Mexico following regulatory approval. The transaction includes 2,600 MW of installed capacity in operation, comprising 1,368 MW from combined-cycle and cogeneration plants, and 1,232 MW from wind and photovoltaic assets.
It also covers commercial operations and a pipeline of generation projects that the buyer plans to develop. The divestment aligns with Iberdrola’s strategy to prioritise investment in regulated networks and generation assets with long-term contracts, as well as in core markets such as the USA and the United Kingdom.
