GBM Works has completed the second close of its Seed funding round, supported by new investor Invest-NL alongside existing backers including the European Innovation Council (EIC) Fund and Rotterdamse Havendraken.
The round totals €6.2 million. The Dutch company is developing Vibrojet, a low-noise installation technique for offshore wind monopiles. A spin-off from Delft University, GBM Works has collaborated with Deme Offshore and Deltares to advance understanding of controlled soil fluidisation using a combination of water jetting and vibration.
This expertise is now being applied in offshore wind, with partners and equipment suppliers designing systems and machine settings based on validated prediction models. The company’s technology also has potential applications in decommissioning monopiles, jacket piling, mooring systems and harbour infrastructure.
Invest-NL, the national promotional institution of the Netherlands, supports sustainable and innovative business development.
