DroneQ Robotics and Mark Offshore have agreed to deploy the R/V Mintis as a combined ROV support and survey vessel for offshore operations. Under the agreement, DroneQ Robotics has exclusive rights to use the vessel for its own projects, as well as for projects with Intertek and third-party clients.
The vessel will be offered as an integrated solution, combining vessel operations with ROV and drone-based inspection services. Mark Offshore manages and operates the DP1 ROV support and survey vessel, which is owned by Klaipėda University. The R/V Mintis will be equipped with two ROV systems. The X-SV Class I system, scheduled for deployment in 2026, is designed for operations down to 350 metres and includes inspection, sonar and sampling capabilities. The Argus Rover Class II system, available from 2025, extends operational depth to 1,000 metres and includes 3D imaging, navigation and subsea intervention tools. In addition, the vessel will carry maritime inspection drones capable of operating at sea, supporting aerial inspections of offshore wind turbines and oil and gas installations.
