The Technical University of Denmark (DTU), the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and the Norwegian research institute Sintef have further solidified their cooperation in offshore wind with the start of a new joint research center.
The new centre, Nordic Offshore Wind R&I Center, NOWRIC, has the aim to develop better and reasonable solutions for offshore wind farms together with the industry. Topics for the collaboration include:
- Foundations, materials and marine operations
- Network connection, system integration and energy storage
- Digitisation, operation and maintenance and management system for offshore wind farms
