E.ON has invested in Kite Power Solutions (KPS). This British start up company secured a new investment of approximately € 6 million. E.ON invested along with Schlumberger and Shell Technology Ventures. The investment will support KPS’s technical and commercial development of its high-altitude wind power generation technology.

Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. (Boskalis) has announced that it has reduced its holding in Fugro N.V. (Fugro) to 9.38%. The reduction was accomplished through a successful accelerated bookbuild via which 12,685,878 (15%) certificates of shares in Fugro were placed with institutional investors at € 14.50 per share.

Siemens and logistics partner deugro have commissioned its first specialised transport vessel, the Rotra Vente, together with customers and representatives of the European offshore wind industry, in the Danish harbor of Esbjerg. The 141-meter long vessel can carry multiple 8MW nacelles per trip and will connect Siemens’ coming manufacturing site in Cuxhaven, Germany with installation harbors in the North and Baltic Seas.
