Aker has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Aker Horizons has agreed to acquire 75 percent of Mainstream Renewable Power (Mainstream). Existing Mainstream shareholders, led by founder and chairman Dr. Eddie O’Connor, will re-invest and retain 25 percent ownership.

Pattern Energy Group (Pattern Energy) has announced that it has closed financing of a US$ 515 million fund focused on wind and solar energy investments in Japan. The Green Power Renewable No. 1 Investment LP (the fund) will be managed by Pattern Energy’s affiliate in Japan, Green Power Investment Corporation (GPI).
