The last of a total of 18 turbines of the 111 MW wind farm Nordergründe was connected to the grid 17th December under the project management of the Bremen developer wpd.
In addition to wpd, co-shareholders of the park are John Laing Group plc and the Gothaer Insurance Group. Nordergründe wind farm is located in water depths of up to ten metres within the 12-nautical mile zone of the German North Sea. Grid connection is facilitated by a single connection via the grid operator, Tennet.
