Vestas has received a firm order from RWE for the 1,380 MW Vanguard East offshore wind project in the UK. Vanguard East follows the Vanguard West project, which was confirmed as a firm order last month.
The order covers 92 Vestas V236-15.0 MW wind turbines. Vestas will supply, deliver and commission the turbines. After completion, the company will service the project under a five-year service agreement, followed by a long-term operational support agreement.
The project site is located off the coast of Norfolk in East Anglia. RWE is targeting a final investment decision in summer 2026. Turbine deliveries are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2028, with commissioning of the wind farm planned for 2030.
