Vestas has announced a series of onshore wind turbine orders in Ireland with a combined capacity of 188 MW. The projects will be delivered across multiple sites, with customers including Invis Energy and two undisclosed developers.
The largest order covers 99 MW from an undisclosed customer and involves the supply of 22 V136-4.5 MW turbines. The agreement includes a 20-year AOM 5000 service contract. Turbine delivery is planned to begin in the first quarter of 2027, with commissioning expected to start in the third quarter of the same year.
A second order from an undisclosed customer totals 47 MW and comprises 11 V117-4.3 MW turbines. Details regarding the service agreement and delivery schedule for this project have not been disclosed.
The third order is for the 42 MW Knocknamork onshore wind project, developed by Invis Energy. Vestas will supply seven V150-6.0 MW turbines under a 20-year AOM 5000 service agreement. Delivery is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2026, with commissioning expected to commence in the second quarter of 2027.
