MHI Vestas Offshore Wind signed a conditional contract with DONG Energy for delivery of V164-8.0 MW turbines for the 450 MW Borkum Riffgrund 2 project in Germany.
On June 10 2015 MHI Vestas Offshore Wind was confirmed as the preferred supplier for Borkum Riffgrund 2. Following negotiations with DONG Energy, the two companies have reached an agreement for the supply of V164-8.0 MW turbines to the project.The contract is conditional upon the final investment decision from DONG Energy.
