Siemens has signed a long-term agreement with the U.S. energy company MidAmerican Energy to provide service and maintenance for 958 SWT-2.3 turbines at 12 wind projects in Iowa.
Combined, these 12 wind projects have the capacity to generate more than 2.2GW. Under terms of the agreement, Siemens will provide approximately 10 years of service and maintenance for eight MidAmerican Energy wind projects currently in operation as well as four additional projects that are scheduled to become operational during the term of the agreement.
