Q Energy France, together with its sister company Hanwha Ocean, has announced its participation in the pre-qualification process for an upcoming call for bids for seabed licences to develop offshore wind projects in Nova Scotia, Canada.

The companies stated that they intend to work with Canadian and Nova Scotian partners, communities and other stakeholders as part of their offshore wind activities, with a focus on local participation and longer-term industrial development.

Hanwha Ocean’s Energy Plant Unit is partnering with Q Energy France in the pre-qualification process. The move forms part of Hanwha Ocean’s broader expansion into the offshore wind sector, drawing on experience in shipbuilding and plant engineering to support offshore wind project development and delivery.
