Palfinger has secured a contract related to the Formosa 4 offshore wind farm in Taiwan. Under the contract with Synera Renewables Taiwan, Palfinger will supply 35 PF 200 fully electric offshore cranes, each with a seven-metre outreach.
The cranes will be installed on jacket foundations supporting 14 MW turbines supplied by Siemens Gamesa. Deliveries of the cranes are scheduled between the second and third quarters of 2026, with installation and commissioning planned in Taiwan later the same year.
The project will be located 18 to 20 kilometres off the coast of Miaoli County and will cover an area of about 58 km². The wind farm is planned to have an installed capacity of 495 MW.
