The Merkkikallio wind farm has been developed by OX2 since 2013 and it consists of 12 GE 158 5.5MW wind turbines with a total capacity of 66MW. Construction works is set to begin immediately and is planned to be completed in 2022.
Merkkikallio wind farm is located in the South Ostrobothnia region, Municipality of Mustasaari and City of Vaasa. The wind farm is the third out of three wind farms to be constructed by OX2 and RPC following an agreement signed end of last year. Construction works of the first two wind farms has been ongoing since December 2020. OX2 is constructing the three wind farms under a tailored EPC contract and will, once commissioned, be responsible for the technical and commercial management of the wind farms.
